Bobby Portis fighting hard to win Bulls' starting power forward job
Chicago Bulls power forward Bobby Porter has been fighting hard to earn a starting job this off-season.
What It Means:
"I felt my first couple years, I didn't play as much as I wanted to. I felt this summer I put the time and effort in to have the opportunity to start. I feel I'm a different player than I was," Portis said. He averaged only 15.6 minutes per game and made 13 starts last season.
numberFire's models project Portis for 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game this year. We also project him for only 15.2 FanDuel points in 18.6 minutes of action in Thursday's season-opener against the Toronto Raptors.
