Russell Westbrook says chemistry won't be issue for new-look Thunder
Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook isn't concerned about the team's chemistry heading into the new season.
“We’re going to get it, man,†Westbrook said. “I think one thing for everybody to know, especially you guys, you guys keep asking about the chemistry every damn day. We’re going to get it together." Coming off a season where he already averaged a triple-double, the offseason additions of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony should help Westbrook find some more open looks in Oklahoma City's offense. The NBA's reigning Most Valuable Player shot 38.8 percent overall and 26.5 percent from three-point range in the playoffs last season (five games).
numberFire's models project Westbrook to average 26.9 points, 8.8 assists, 6.4 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 2.7 3-pointers per game this season while shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from three.
