Jameer Nelson will not be Nuggets' starting point guard
Denver Nuggets point guard Jameer Nelson will not be the team's starting point guard, per head coach Mike Malone.
Malone would not confirm who would start, but the expectation is for Jamal Murray to get the nod with Emmanuel Muday backing him up. That leaves Nelson as the third-string guard, likely playing little minutes and serving as a mentor to the two young point guards.
Our models project Nelson to average 8.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 21.1 minutes per game this season.
