Dirk Nowitzki produces well on Tuesday, won't play Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Dirk Nowitzki racked up 21 points in the Mavs' final home game of the season on Tuesday, and he won't travel for Dallas' regular season finale on Wednesday.
Dallas is long out of playoff contention, and after giving the fans a show for the last home game of the year, there's no incentive to run the 38-year-old out for a meaningless regular season finale in Memphis.
Nowitzki finishes his 19th pro season averaging 14.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 3-pointers in 26.4 minutes per game. He ranks only 291st in the NBA with a -0.9 nERD on the year.
