DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) questionable for New Orleans on Friday
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) is questionable to suit up against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.
The Pelicans have been officially eliminated from playoff contention, so there's no need for them to rush Cousins through the injury and risk making it worse, but we will have a much better idea of his availability after Friday's morning shootaround. If he can't go, look for Dante Cunningham to see a significant bump in minutes.
Cousins has averaged 24.4 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 33.8 minutes per game through 17 contests with the Pelicans. He ranks 33rd in the NBA with a 5.7 nERD on the year.
