Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffers an ankle sprain in Monday's victory

Charlotte Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a strained right ankle on Monday as the Hornets beat the Atlanta Hawks 105-90.

What It Means:

Head coach Steve Clifford has said that Kidd-Gilchrist is day-to-day, and he himself has said that he feels fine. If MKG can't play on Wednesday, look for Jeremy Lamb to draw another start on the wing, while Marco Belinelli would also stand to see an uptick in minutes.

Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging 9.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 29.3 minutes per game this season. He ranks third among Hornets players and 83rd in the NBA with a 1.8 nERD on the year.
