Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis (thigh) says his injury isn't serious
New York Knicks forward/center Kristaps Porzingis suffered a left thigh contusion in Tuesday's win over the Indiana Pacers, but he has said that the injury isn't serious.
He was assisted off the court after colliding with Pacers' guard Monta Ellis and wasn't able to return to the game, and while he doesn't seem concerned about the issue, it's still uncertain whether he will suit up for Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Look for Willy Hernangomez to see a big uptick in minutes if Porzingis is sidelined.
Porzingis is averaging 18.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers in 32.8 minutes per game this season. He ranks fourth among Knicks players and 136th in the NBA with a 0.3 nERD on the year.
