Pelicans' Wayne Selden replacing Hollis Thompson as starter in NBA debut
New Orleans Pelicans undrafted 10-day rookie Wayne Selden will start on Tuesday versus the Portland Trail Blazers, sending guard/forward Hollis Thompson to the bench.
This will be Selden's first NBA appearance since signing his 10-day deal on March 8. The Pelicans probably just want to see what they have before the deal expires, but he's not going to see enough opportunity in New Orleans to warrant fantasy consideration.
Thompson has just a 10.9 usage percentage in nine games (eight starts) since being picked up by the Pelicans, so Selden likely won't see too many looks.
