Spurs will not have Kawhi Leonard (concussion) versus Warriors on Saturday
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (concussion protocol) will not play against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
What a change of events! Just hours ago, the Spurs said Leonard was fine after taking an elbow to the head in Thursday's loss. However, now that the forward has entered the league's concussion protocol, he may be out multiple games. Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge will have to step up in his absence with Jonathon Simmons likely earning the start.
Simmons is averaging 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in three games as a starter this season. His -1.2 nERD is second-worst on the Spurs.
