Nerlens Noel (knee) will not play Friday for Mavericks
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Nerlens Noel will not play Friday night versus the Brooklyn Nets due to a sore left knee, said head coach Rick Carlisle.
What It Means:
Carlisle described Noel's injury as "day-to-day" and that it is "not considered serious." Against the NBA's worst team in the Nets, the Mavericks may just be playing it safe. Salah Mejri, Dorian Finney-Smith and Dwight Powell will all see a boost, but none make for the greatest fantasy play.
Noel is averaging 10.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in six games with the Mavericks. His 2.9 nERD is second on the team and tied for 60th in the NBA.
