Mason Plumlee starts, plays significant minutes in his Nuggets' debut
Denver Nuggets forward/center Mason Plumlee drew a start in his debut with the team on Wednesday, and racked up 11 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 34 minutes of action.
What It Means:
Denver was severely short-handed in this one, but head coach Mike Malone has said that he doesn't plan to play Plumlee next to Jokic a lot this season, and Plumlee's minutes will likely fall with the return of Kenneth Faried (ankle). It was a promising debut for Plumlee though, who averaged 11.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 28.1 minutes per game with the Portland Trail Blazers to start the season.
Plumlee ranked third among the seven Nuggets players that saw at least 10 minutes of action with a -6.2 nERD in Wednesday's loss, per numberFire Live. He also owns a 2.1 nERD on the season, which is tied for 71st in the NBA.
