Celtics' Jaylen Brown (hip) sidelined through All-Star break
Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown (right hip strain) has been ruled out through the All-Star break.
Brown will miss the next three games, and with Jae Crowder (personal) back in the rotation, owners in most formats can cut ties with the rookie. The Celtics first game out of the break is against the Toronto Raptors on February 24, so hopefully Brown will be ready to return following the extended absence.
The third-overall pick from the 2016 NBA Draft, Brown is averaging 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.2 blocks and 0.4 3-pointers on 15.5 minutes a night in 53 games (13 starts) this season. He's shooting 42.7 percent from the field and ranks second-worst on the Celtics with a -2.1 nERD this season.
