Terrence Jones (thumb), Tyreke Evans (ankle) both out Friday for Pelicans
New Orleans Pelicans forward Terrence Jones (thumb) and guard Tyreke Evans (ankle) will not play against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jones popped up on the injury report as questionable on Friday, and he will now miss his first game due to the thumb sprain. Owners should hold tight as Jones has been playing well and may have locked down the starting job. Dante Cunningham and Donatas Motiejunas will both gain some fantasy appeal, but the former is the preferred play. Tim Frazier is also worth a look with Evans missing his second straight game.
With Jones out, our models expect Cunningham to record 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 2.4 3-pointers across 29.7 minutes on Friday night. He and Motiejunas both cost the minimum $3,500 on FanDuel.
