Clippers get a solid performance from Blake Griffin in loss to Celtics

Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin scored 23 points with eight boards, four assists, and one steal in Sunday's loss to the Boston Celtics.

What It Means:

Sunday was Griffin's fifth game back after an 18-game absence. He has been slowly rounding back into form as he has posted three consecutive games with at least 20 points and eight rebounds. With Chris Paul not expected back for another four weeks, expect Griffin's assist numbers to rise back to the nearly 5.0 per game he was posting before his knee injury.

Griffin has averaged 23.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals in the five games since his return.
