Knicks listing Derrick Rose (ankle) as questionable for Saturday
New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rose has missed three straight games. On Thursday, Rose told reporters that "every day it's improving." However, coach Jeff Hornacek said on Friday after practice that he doesn't think Rose will be able to play on Saturday. If Rose is sidelined on Saturday, Brandon Jennings will draw another start in his place. Jennings is averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.0 rebounds over 37.6 minutes in games he has started this season.
What It Means:
Rose has missed three straight, and despite telling reporters that "every day it's improving," head coach Jeff Hornacek conceded that he doesn't think his point guard will be back on Saturday. With Rose out, Brandon Jennings draws another start and makes for a solid fantasy option.
Jennings is averaging 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.8 3-pointers over 37.6 minutes per game in nine starts this season. His -3.0 nERD is worst on the Knicks and ranks 429th in the NBA -- out of 460 players.
