Carmelo Anthony, Phil Jackson discuss future with Knicks

New York Knicks president Phil Jackson reportedly met with forward Carmelo Anthony on Tuesday to ask him if he wants to remain with the team.

What It Means:

Things might finally be reaching a boiling point in New York as the Knicks continue to fall further out of the playoff hunt. The relationship between Anthony and Jackson doesn't appear to be getting any better, prompting some to believe that the All Star forward may be willing to waive his no-trade clause to join another squad.

Anthony is tied for 70th in the NBA with a 1.5 nERD. He's averaging 22.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on a .430 field goal percentage per game this season.
