Pelicans' Anthony Davis (back) doubtful to return, X-rays negative
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis (tailbone) was forced to the locker room during Monday's contest against the Indiana Pacers.
X-rays came back negative, but Davis is doubtful to return for the end of the fourth quarter. He suffered right hip and left thumb injuries after hitting the floor hard on a failed dunk attempt. Davis was able to sink his free throws, but he appeared to be in serious pain and was barely able to walk while making his way to the locker room.
Davis will likely finish with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists on 6-of-11 shooting from the field on Monday. He earned a 14.87 nERD in 23 minutes of work.
