Karl-Anthony Towns' double-double streak comes to an end in Timberwolves loss
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns saw his 10-game double-double streak end on Sunday as he scored 18 points with nine rebounds in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
While Sunday was a solid line, it was a bit disappointing as Towns was coming off a three-game stretch where he averaged 28.7 points, 15.3 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks per game. His 30 double-doubles on the year rank him third in the NBA as Towns is averaging 21.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
Towns continues to try to hit three-pointers as he went 1-for-4 on Sunday but is 5-for-26 (19%) this month.
