Lakers' Larry Nance out indefinitely with bone bruise in knee
Los Angeles Lakers power forward Larry Nance has been diagnosed with a left knee bone bruise and will be out indefinitely.
Nance will be re-evaluated on Sunday for additional damage, but there's a possibility this is more of a day-to-day issue, despite the daunting "out indefinitely" designation. Julius Randle, Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng could all see increased opportunity, while Nance isn't necessarily worth holding if you can't afford the dead spot.
Nance is putting together a decent season so far, and his 7.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 blocks per game are all improvements from the numbers he posted as a rookie last year. He has also posted an improved effective field goal percentage (.591) and player efficiency rating (15.8). Nance ranks inside the top-100 with a 0.7 nERD on the season.
