Russell Westbrook triple-doubles again, leads Thunder to overtime win
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook turned in his ninth triple-double of the season during a 126-115 overtime win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, scoring 35 points with 14 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, five turnovers and one 3-pointer.
Westbrook couldn't get much to fall during regulation, but he dropped 14 points in the overtime period and ended up sealing the win for the Thunder. Westbrook is still averaging a triple-double and he is also only the third player in league history to average a triple-double for a calendar month with at least 10 games in that stretch.
Westbrook is posting insane averages of 31.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 11.3 assists over 35.7 minutes per game. Despite his incredible 41.0 usage rate, Westbrook's .463 effective field goal percentage is still above his career mark. His nERD of 3.4 currently ranks 10th among all players.
