Eric Gordon steps into time machine for Rockets on Sunday
Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon came off the bench against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, erupting for 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting with 6-for-9 shooting from downtown, five rebounds, four assists, one steal and just one turnover.
Gordon is only 28 years-old, but he looked 22 again on Sunday with his performance. His new role off the bench has not hindered his production at all and it may end up helping him stay healthy and thriving against role players.
Gordon is now averaging 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 31.1 minutes per game this season. He has a .527 effective field goal percentage, but his -0.5 nERD ranks him 307th right now.
