76ers' Jerryd Bayless (wrist) will be sidelined a month
Philadelphia 76ers guard Jerryd Bayless is likely to miss the first month of the regular season while he recovers from a torn ligament in his left wrist.
Bayless will avoid surgery for his wrist, but he lacks a recovery timetable for the injury. According to ESPN's Jeff Goodman, he will miss the first month of the season. T.J. McConnell is expected to be named the starter while Bayless is on the shelf, but he and Sergio Rodriguez will likely split time at the point.
Prior to the news, our models expected Bayless to average 10.4 points, 1.4 3-pointers, 2.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game on 44.4 percent shooting from the field this season. It remains to be seen if the injury will impact his per-game projections.
