Celtics' Isaiah Thomas (wrist) claims he won't need time off
Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas (wrist) said that he won't miss any time.
It's not likely to be anything serious, and Thomas didn't seem at all bothered by the slightly sprained left wrist, but it's worth noting since the point guard has undergone two previous surgeries on the same wrist. He should be fine for opening night, but expect to see Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier get more run in the preseason while Thomas is used a little more sparingly.
Thomas turned in the best campaign of his career during the 2015-16 season. He ranked 16th in the league with an 8.4 nERD while averaging a career-high 22.2 points, 6.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
