Brandon Bass heading to Clippers on one-year deal

The Los Angeles Clippers and forward Brandon Bass agreed on a one-year deal worth the veteran minimum.

What It Means:

Bass will provide depth at power forward behind Blake Griffin, and this move might indicate that the concern about Griffin's leg issues are indeed serious. Bass could provide great fantasy value if the Clippers play it safe with Griffin and hold him out on back to backs early on in the season.

Bass averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per game with the Lakers last season. His 2.7 nERD ranked him 72nd among all players and he is heading into his 12th NBA season in 2016-'17.
