Raptors project Jared Sullinger as starting power forward

Toronto Raptors forward/center Jared Sullinger is expected to be the team's starting power forward heading into training camp, "unless [he] comes out and stinks up the place," according to head coach Dwane Casey.

What It Means:

Despite Sullinger being the expected starter, Patrick Patterson is believed to receive the majority of the playing time at power forward off the bench, so the starter designation isn't a guaranteed boost to his fantasy value. Sullinger signed a one-year deal, so he is hoping to increase his real-life value again, but after averaging 10.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in 81 contests played last season, he won't be worth drafting before later rounds for fantasy purposes.

Sullinger posted a decent 1.6 nERD, which ranked 64th, last season, his fourth in the NBA. His shooting struggled, however, as his .476 true shooting percentage was the lowest of his career.
