Chandler Parsons

Grizzlies' Chandler Parsons (knee) has begun shooting again

Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons (right knee) has begun shooting and said recently, "I fully expect to be better than I was before."

What It Means:

Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace added that the team has "all the faith in the world" that Chandler Parsons will stay healthy after suffering season-ending knee surgeries in back-to-back seasons. He most recently had arthroscopic surgery to repair the meniscus in his right knee, but it seems like he's right on track for training camp. He'll still be a featured part of the offense in Memphis, but a fantasy hoops draft day risk.

In the second half of last season, only three of the 100 players with at least 30 minutes per game had a better true shooting percentage than Parsons (Stephen Curry, Hassan Whiteside and DeAndre Jordan). His 1.0 nERD ranked 70th in the NBA last year, and he posted a career-high .589 true shooting percentage with an 8.7 percent total rebound rate and 16.0 percent assist rate.
