Derrick Williams agrees to deal with Heat

Unrestricted free agent forward Derrick Williams has agreed to a one-year, $5 million deal with the Miami Heat.

What It Means:

With Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng and Joe Johnson all heading to different area codes this summer, the Heat need to replace roughly half of their shots from last season. Williams is coming off a career-high 80 game season with the New York Knicks that included nine starts. Chris Bosh's health will be a large determinant of Williams' role and playing time, but he remains off the fantasy radar for now.

Williams logged 17.9 minutes per contest this past season, averaging 9.3 points and 3.7 rebounds on 45.0 percent shooting from the field. His 1.4 nERD ranked 66th in the league.
