Courtney Lee to sign with Knicks

Unrestricted free agent guard Courtney Lee has agreed to a four-year, $50 million deal with the New York Knicks.

What It Means:

Lee is one of the more consistent defenders and three-point shooters at the two-guard position, and he will fill the void left by Arron Afflalo, who is headed for Sacramento. He is 30 years-old, and has been on several teams, but his two-way skill set should make him a valuable player in the Knicks' backcourt next to Derrick Rose.

Lee averaged 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game for the Hornets and Grizzlies last season. He had a .518 effective field goal percentage in 29.5 minutes per game, and he posted a nERD of -1.4.
