Grizzlies' Steven Adams (knee surgery) out for season

Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams will undergo season-ending knee surgery.

What It Means:

Brandon Clarke is out indefinitely with a torn Achilles, so the Grizzlies will need to rely more on Xavier Tillman and Santi Aldama in the frontcourt. David Roddy is also a candidate to see more playing time.

numberFire's models project Tillman to average 6.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 18.1 minutes per game for the Grizzlies this season. Aldama is projected for 8.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 1.0 3-pointers in 20.6 minutes per contest.
