Daniel Gafford (illness) downgraded, out Monday for Wizards versus
Washington Wizards power forward Daniel Gafford (illness) is out Monday versus the San Antonio Spurs.
Gafford has been downgraded to out after being added to the injury report as questionable on Monday morning. It will be his first absence since January 11. Kristaps Porzingis (back) has been cleared to return, so he will likely replace Gafford in the Wizards' lineup. Corey Kispert will also be able to draw another start. Taj Gibson is another potential beneficiary from Gafford's absence.
Kispert has a 12.8% usage rate as a starter this season and is averaging 17.6 FanDuel points in 30.6 minutes across 27 starts. Per our NBA Heat Map, the Wizards’ implied total (123.75) is tied for the highest out of 16 active teams on Monday. The game total (241.5) is second-highest on the board.
