Mavericks' J.J. Barea says he can't accelerate
Dallas Mavericks guard J.J. Barea said that his sore groin is preventing him from being able to accelerate properly.
The Mavs are dealing with a lot of injuries this season, and Deron Williams has already said he is probably out for the rest of the playoffs. Barea still played 27 minutes in Game 4, but he was scoreless in seven shot attempts.
Barea is averaging just 5.7 points per game in the playoffs, compared to 21.0 points per game in eight of his last 10 games before he hurt his groin. He is shooting just 25.9 percent from the floor in the three games he has played this postseason.
