Thunders' Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) done for season
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) will not return for the rest of the 2021/22 season.
Gilgeous-Alexander will not return this season as he rests his injured ankle. With just two weeks before the NBA playoffs and the Thunder already out of contention, it would make little sense for Gilgeous-Alexander to continue playing the season out and risk a more severe injury.
The 2021/22 season was Gilgeous-Alexander's best so far, with the young point guard averaging 24.5 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game over his 56 starts this season.
