Chris Paul, several Clippers taking the night off versus Phoenix
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul, center DeAndre Jordan, forward/center Blake Griffin, shooting guard J.J. Redick and guard/forward Jamal Crawford will all be rested on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns.
Paul scored 12 points with 13 assists, two boards, two steals and two 3-pointers on Tuesday versus the Memphis Grizzlies. He will likely finish the season as the sixth-best asset in standard leagues and was coming into Tuesday's game with averages of 19.6 points, 9.9 assists, 4.2 boards, 2.1 steals, 1.6 3-pointers and 2.6 turnovers on 46.2 percent shooting from the field. With Paul out on Wednesday, Austin Rivers and Pablo Prigioni are looking at a lot of minutes, with Rivers offering the most upside.
The Clippers are currently just above the Oklahoma City Thunder for third in the league, based on numberFire's Team Power Rankings. Our models give the Clips a 7.0 percent chance of winning the championship this year, which are the fourth-best odds in the NBA.
