D'Angelo Russell (ankle) ruled out for Timberwolves Wednesday
Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell will not play Wednesday in the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Russell missed practice Tuesday afternoon, signaling something was off. It turns out that he's dealing with a right ankle sprain, and he'll be out for Wednesday - and possibly beyond. Patrick Beverley - who is questionable with left calf soreness - would be the most logical option to get a start at point guard. If not, Jordan McLaughlin or Malik Beasley could step in.
In 6 games this season, Russell has averaged 14.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 27.5 Fanduel points.
