Knicks' Sasha Vujacic scores 23 points on eight shots, hits six treys
New York Knicks guard Sasha Vujacic started at shooting guard on Wednesday in place of Arron Afflalo (abdomen), and he lit up the Phoenix Suns for 23 points on 7-of-8 shooting with six 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 33 minutes.
Vujacic came in with a True Shooting Percentage of 41.3 percent, which ranked 333rd out of 336 qualifying players, but he had no trouble scoring versus the Suns. Phoenix has the league's worst 3-point defense, which played into Vujacic's strengths.
His 42.4 Effective Field Goal Percentage is his worst clip since his rookie season. Vujacic is averaging 3.7 points, 1.9 boards and 1.1 assists per night. He checks in 103rd with a -2.4 nERD.
