Anthony Davis (toe) set to be a game-time call for New Orleans
New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis (toe sprain) will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's game versus the Houston Rockets.
Davis said his toe was feeling good after going through shootaround, but he's going to test it again during pregame warmups before officially determining his status. For what it's worth, Davis did make it through a full practice on Tuesday. New Orleans' coach Alvin Gentry said he expects Davis to play, so things are trending in a positive direction.
Davis checks in 20th with a 7.5 nERD. As usual, health has been his only hurdle. When Davis has played, he's been superb. He's averaging 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.9 assists per game while posting a 56.3 True Shooting Percentage. We project Davis to average 21.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 blocks per game over the remaining course of the season.
