Kyrie Irving (back) expected back for Nets soon
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (lower back tightness) is expected back in the short-term, per head coach Steve Nash.
Irving surprisingly sat out Tuesday in the second leg of a back-to-back. Nash considers him day-to-day, potentially indicating that Irving could be back for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kevin Durant also may be able to return Thursday after missing the last two games with a mild left hamstring strain. James Harden led the Nets to a 24-point comeback win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday with 38 points, 11 dimes, and 7 boards.
Kyrie is averaging 45.2 FanDuel points per game this season. He is leading the Nets with a 32.6 percent usage rate when sharing the floor with Harden while Durant is out, compared to 24.5 percent when all three are on the court together. Looking at Thursday's opponent, the Lakers are allowing the seventh-fewest FanDuel points per game to the point guard position this season.
