Pistons to sit Blake Griffin with a potential trade or buyout on the table
Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin will sit while the team decides on his future with the organization, Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The Pistons and Griffin came to the decision mutually, and the Pistons are reportedly pursuing trade options for the six-time All Star and could work on a contract buyout as well, Wojnarowski adds. It seems Griffin's days as a Piston are coming to a close.
While injuries have limited Griffin's sky-high ceiling over the past few seasons, the star has still averaged 24 fantasy points per game in his 11th full season in the league. Any team that does trade for him will likely understand his current limitations, so his fantasy value shouldn't take too much of a hit. The Pistons will likely continue rolling out with Saddiq Bey and Jerami Grant without Griffin.
