Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) expected to return for Timberwolves Wednesday
Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) is expected to return Wednesday and play against the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Towns will return after missing the last 13 games while recovering from COVID-19. He was listed as doubtful on the previous injury report, so this comes as a welcome surprise for the Timberwolves and fantasy players. Naz Reid likely takes the biggest hit with Towns returning. As for Jarred Vanderbilt, Timberwolves head coach Ryan Saunders said a couple weeks ago that he'd like to explore the young big and Towns playing together. D'Angelo Russell (leg) also figures to see a downtick in usage.
numberFire's models project KAT for 48.5 FanDuel points on Wednesday. He has a salary of $10,300 on the nine-game slate.
