Trail Blazers' Rodney Hood dealing with thigh contusion

Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Rodney Hood did not play on Monday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a thigh contusion, per head coach Terry Stotts.

What It Means:

Hood was active but Monday surprisingly never saw the floor after starting the previous two games. The Trail Blazers didn't say anything about the injury prior to Monday's contest. Gary Trent Jr. started in place of Hood and scored 22 points. Anfernee Simons added a season-high 26 points with 6 triples off the bench. Hood's status for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets is uncertain.

Trent scored 28.2 FanDuel points on Monday and recorded an 18.6 percent usage rate. Simons scored 31.9 FanDuel points with a 25.5 percent usage rate, third-highest on the team.
