Kyrie Irving (health protocols) expected back for Nets Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (health protocols) expected to play versus the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, according to Nets head coach Steve Nash.
It appears Irving's prolonged absence will end after seven games. The arrival of James Harden figures to take away from some of Irving's usage and it'll be fascinating to see how Nash utilizes Brooklyn's three superstars. Jeff Green will likely shift to the second unit with Irving back in action.
Kyrie recorded a 30.6 usage percentage in seven games without Harden. Through two contests without Kyrie, Harden leads the Nets with a 35.4 usage percentage. Looking ahead to Wednesday's matchup, the Cavaliers have the second-best defensive rating in the NBA and are allowing the fourth-fewest FanDuel points per game to the point guard position.
