Josh Smith or Clint Capela could start Friday for Rockets
Houston Rockets forward Josh Smith or forward/center Clint Capela could start Friday against the Phoenix Suns.
The Rockets lost some of their backcourt depth with Marcus Thornton joining the Detroit Pistons. Corey Brewer will likely move out of the starting lineup, and Trevor Ariza would shift back to small forward. Smith starting could help his output, but he's only worth a look in 14-team leagues right now.
Smith is outside of the top 100 with a -3.6 nERD so far this season. He's averaging 6.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game on a 41.9 Effective Field Goal Percentage -- all of which are career-worst marks. Capela ranks 61st with a 1.2 nERD.
