T.J. Warren (foot) on track for Pacers' opener
Indiana Pacers small forward T.J. Warren (foot) is expected to be ready for Wednesday's season opener against the New York Knicks, per head coach Nate Bjorkgren.
Warren missed all three preseason games because of plantar fasciitis, but he and Myles Turner (concussion) are both expected to play. “They were in a full physical, contact practice [Sunday] and they looked good,” Bjorkgren said. “There was a lot on 5-on-5. That’s what I would expect. They’re getting the green light to get closer and closer to that.” Warren was the Pacers' leading scorer during bubble play over the summer and scored a career-high 53 points in one outing. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.7 steals, and 2.9 triples in 37.6 minutes per game over his 10 appearances.
numberFire's models currently expect Warren to score 27.4 FanDuel points on Wednesday. For the season, we project him for 18.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 1.5 3-pointers per game.
