Bulls will have Derrick Rose (soreness) in lineup on Wednesday
Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose (soreness) will play Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks, as expected.
Rose sat out Monday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets with general "soreness," but he was never in any real danger of missing tonight's game versus Atlanta. Rose has posted an elite Usage Rate of 33.0 sans Jimmy Butler (knee), so go ahead and get him active. Kirk Hinrich will return to the bench with Rose back in the starting lineup, and there will be less minutes available for Aaron Brooks.
Rose has really disappointed this year, ranking 136th in the NBA with a -8.9 nERD. His 15.9 points per game are tying his career low while his .427 Effective Field Goal Percentage is his second-lowest mark. Rose's 4.8 assists per game are well below his career average, as well. For tonight, our models project him to put up 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists while making 41.1 percent of his shots from the field.
