Miami's Hassan Whiteside (ankle) expected to play on Tuesday

Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (left ankle) is expected to play on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

What It Means:

Whiteside did not practice Monday, but he's expected to give it a go Tuesday night. Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said Whiteside "could play big minutes tomorrow." It's unclear if that's his way of saying Whiteside will be back in the first five, but Amar'e Stoudemire is tentatively expected to stick in the starting lineup for now. Either way, Whiteside should be active on all fantasy rosters.

Whiteside checks in 16th with an 8.2 nERD in 42 games played. He is averaging 12.2 points, 11.1 rebounds and a league-high 3.9 blocks per game while recording the league's third-highest Effective Field Goal Percentage. His Total Rebound Percentage is also third in the league while his Block Percentage is first.
