Clippers' Blake Griffin had second procedure on hand

Los Angeles Clippers forward/center Blake Griffin (hand) underwent a second procedure this week on his broken right hand, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

What It Means:

According to Shelburne, "the procedure was a part of the original surgery last week, so sources said the four-to-six week timeframe for his return remains unchanged." This has been a very odd situation for Griffin, and he's likely going to receive some additional punishment once he's back. Wesley Johnson has been the best pickup and could hold nice value this month. Expect the trade rumor mill to keep on churning in the meantime.

Griffin owns a 4.7 nERD, which ranks 34th, in 30 games played this season, but he is expected to miss at least the month of February. He's averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while posting a 55.2 True Shooting Percentage. Johnson currently sits 71st with a 0.2 nERD.
