Update: Rockets' Eric Gordon (ankle) expected to be out a few days
Houston Rockets shooting guard Eric Gordon is expected to be out for a few days with an ankle injury.
Gordon's x-rays on his ankle came back negative, and coach D'Antoni said he expects him to be out a few days. This is a near best-case scenario for Gordon after he suffered what appeared to be a serious ankle injury. Gordon will most likely miss out on the Rockets' restart opener against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday, opening up additional minutes for Danuel House, Ben McLemore, and David Nwaba.
Gordon averaged 14.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game for the Rockets this season before the shutdown.
