Russ Smith shines in Memphis double-OT win
24-year old Russ Smith drained a lefty floater to win the Orlando Summer League championship for the Memphis Grizzlies this afternoon. He finished the game with 15 points, 9 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 1 turnover.
Smith has now averaged 14.8 points, 6.2 assists and 2.6 turnovers while shooting exactly 50% from the field this summer and is trying to crack a Memphis rotation that already holds 3 point guards. It's likely he'll be spending more time in the D-League this upcoming season.
