Carmelo Anthony excited to be Trail Blazers' SF
Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony is excited to return to his "original position" of small forward for the NBA's restart in Orlando.
Anthony is expected to play small forward since Trevor Ariza isn't participating in Orlando. “The good thing is I get to go back to my original position, which is playing at the three,” said Anthony. “I’m actually very comfortable at that, I've been doing that my whole life. Over the last couple years is where I started moving, transitioning toward playing the four more." Anthony is expected to be joined by Zach Collins and Jusuf Nurkic in the frontcourt. He was averaging 15.3 points and 1.4 3-pointers with 6.3 rebounds before the season was suspended.
numberFire's models expect Melo to score 27.5 FanDuel points on July 31 versus the Memphis Grizzlies when action resumes. He has the third-highest usage rate (21.6 percent) on the Trail Blazers behind Damian Lillard (30.2) and C.J. McCollum (26.7). That rate rises to 23.0 percent when Ariza is off the court.
