De'Aaron Fox, Kings reportedly discuss extension
The Sacramento Kings and point guard De'Aaron Fox have discussed a contract extension, reports James Ham of NBC Sports.
The NBA's salary cap could be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and this uncertainty may complicate negotiations. In a recent interview, Fox emphasized that he wants to stay with the Kings. “I see myself being here. I want to be here," he said. Fox is averaging 20.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 3-pointers per game with a career-high 47.5 field goal percentage. The points and rebounds are also personal-bests.
Fox leads the Kings with a 29.6 percent usage rate while averaging 37.2 FanDuel points per game. numberFire's models project him to average 21.6 points, 4.1 boards, 6.4 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.6 3-pointers per contest over the rest of the season.
